My Mini Vacay to Asheville, NC

Hi friends! I just came home from a mini vacation to Asheville, NC. It's super cute town, with plenty to do in town and the surrounding area. I was only there for 2 1/2 days, but I got to explore the Biltmore, visit all the cute shops downtown, and eat some really good food. My plan was drive home by way of the Blue Ridge Parkway, BUT it snowed all day the day before I left so the entire parkway was closed off. Hopefully I'll get to do that one day.

The Biltmore was by far the coolest place. It is America's largest private home built by the Vanderbilt's in the late 1800s. IT IS HUGE Y'ALL. It holds 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, and over 4 acres of living space.

This was my first (and possibly only) trip I've taken entirely by myself. So I had to become real comfortable with asking strangers to take my picture. Because I was alone, it was harder to get pictures. My photos aren't quite as artsy fartsy as I would've wanted, so there's lots of cheesy smiles and selfie pics :-)

The decor of the house is amazing - very elaborate and ornate. My FAVORITE place was the conservatory. It's the building at the top of the previous picture. Flowers are my love, y'all, and this place was FULL of them. All different kinds. I spent a considerable amount of time there, and probably could've hung out in there the rest of the day.

This picture below is my favorite picture I got the entire trip.

Speaking of a conservatory, if anyone wants to do a shoot in a greenhouse, HIT ME UP. It's so beautiful!!

I also spent some time downtown and looked around all the cute shops. My favorites were the LOFT, Duncan and York, and Mast General Store. There's also tons and tons of murals EVERYWHERE.

I ate at the White Duck Taco Shop, and Early Girl Eatery -  both downtown. White Duck is SO GOOD (especially if you're obsessed with Mexican food, like me).

Like I said, I didn't get to drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway on my way home, but I did get some nice views anyway.
